We want you to be happy with your window coverings, the advice we give you and the job we do. We are committed to providing Australian made products because the quality cannot be beaten. We will turn up on time or let you know if we are running late. We will clean up after every install. If something goes wrong, we will keep you informed and fix up the mistake. If we let you down on any of this we will sincerely apologise and deliver a bottle of wine.
About the founders
The founders of Classic Blinds are Bev, Steve and Ginny. Bev and Steve are sister and brother, Steve and Ginny are married. We live locally in Newcastle and love providing quality window coverings throughout the Hunter Region. We support each other, care for our staff, look after our customers and nurture our business.

Our History
Founded in Newcastle
Founded in May 2004 with a staff of 15 people initially making cedar venetians and plantation shutters.
2004Aluminum Plantation Shutters
Started making aluminium plantation shutters in Newcastle. One of the first companies in Australia to manufacturer aluminium shutters.
2006Plantation Shutters Re-designed
We undertook a comprehensive re-design of our aluminium plantation shutters. These resulted in a more slim line look offering greater interior appeal.
2008A big move!
In 2011 we moved from a tiny rented shop on Glebe Road to our own Showroom in Newcastle on Parry St, Newcastle West.
2011Roller Blinds
In 2014, we expanded our manufacturing capabilities to include making roller blinds. To accommodate this expansion we rented an additional shed at Macquarie Hills.
2014Our own Factory
In 2016, we moved from a rented factory in Macquarie Hills to our very own premises on Munibung Road, Cardiff.
2016Expansion
In 2018, we expanded our facilities at Cardiff and doubled the production capacity for plantation shutters and roller blinds.
2018Now Employing 61 Staff
Added a second floor to the new shed to expand production further, now employing 61 staff.
